Joint Lettings Agency was founded by Rivers Birtwell, a family-run landlord based in Brighton, with a simple goal: to raise the standard of student renting and create a better experience for tenants.
What started in Brighton has grown into a network of homes across the UK, working closely with universities in each city we operate in. That relationship helps us stay closely connected to student needs and reflects our approach to student accommodation, reimagined focusing on how students actually want to live today.
Throughout the journey, we’ve stayed focused on properly supporting students from finding the right house, to settling in, and having ongoing support throughout their tenancy. Our in-house team manages everything directly, so students always know who to go to if they need help.
As we’ve expanded, that same hands-on, supportive approach has stayed consistent in every location. We’re not just letting houses we’re building long-term relationships with students and universities to make renting simpler, more supportive, and more reliable.
